"Good Sports" Golf for Goretti

Fountain Head Country Club welcomed golfers Thursday, October 2nd in support of the St. Maria Goretti High School Athletic Program. The Goretti Golf Classic has been a tradition for 25 years and continues to benefit the school. Golfers arrived (donning rain gear) and entered our ballroom for a delicious lunch prepared by our Executive Chef Todd Reynolds, and once they were done, headed out to brave the rain for 18 holes! By the end of the tournament, even though the golfers and spectators were cold and wet, they were also excited for dinner! Following dinner the awards from the outing were presented and the silent auction began. Items auctioned off also benefited the Goretti High School Athletics program and included an autographed Washington Redskins football!!

Although the weather was not ideal, all players had a great time supporting this prestigious school and its talented young athletes! St. Maria Goretti High School is the home of the current boy’s lacrosse “Player of the Year” for 2015, Mike Ewing, and Mack Tallant who made the US Lacrosse Junior Indoor team this year! Fountain Head was pleased to be a part of such a wonderful event and applauds all of Goretti’s athletes and their accomplishments over the years!
