A Talented Town...

Recently Fountain Head Country Club had the honor of hosting the 2015 Barbara Ingram School for the Arts “Celebration of the Arts Dinner”! The night was filled with thrilling entertainment, inspiring exhibits and passionate performances, which had our ballroom and all of the attendees buzzing with excitement! I had the personal delight of listening to the talented students practice their songs during the day before the show! I never expected that much talent to come from such young students! The energy, enthusiasm and vocal skills demonstrated by these kids made me feel like I was at my own personal Broadway show! The Barbara Ingram School, which was constructed in 2009 is known for its impeccable arts and academics program offered to 200 + students in grades 9-12. Located in the heart of downtown Hagerstown, Maryland, you can often see students and teachers out and about traveling to various places during the day! Students are not only offered high quality academic education at the BISFA, but also classes such as dance, visual arts, vocal/instrumental music, creative writing, and theater. The main goal of the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts is to provide students with a rigorous , college preparatory curriculum rooted in, professional training in the arts that encourages excellence and success in their personal development as students, artists and cultural leaders. This school is very unique and so are the young people who attend! There are without a doubt some future famous artists, musicians, and performers growing up in our very own town!
