Good Times with Goodwill!!!

The Horizon Goodwill of Hagerstown Maryland hosted its 60th Annual Power of Work Awards Dinner at Fountain Head last night, and we couldn't be happier to be a part of such a special evening! The Goodwill, which has helped individuals get back on their feet and back into the community with job training for many years, makes sure to take time to honor those who deserve it! There were about 150 people at the dinner who helped to recognize individuals and organizations for their personal achievements and commitment to the Goodwill mission! Among those recognized were Chris Robbins who received the Achiever of the Year Award, and Tammy Stottlemeyer who received the Chuck Robinette Spirit of Goodwill Award! A big CONGRATS goes out to them both, as well as all of the other great achievers! The Washington County Department of Social Services won the Business Partner of the Year Award, which is given to an organization that has partnered with Horizon Goodwill Industries and shown significant benefit to their clients by providing work opportunities for the individuals they serve. Also recognized for their service, were retiring board members Spence Perry and Stuart Mullendore. The Bowman Development Corp., The Columbia Bank, Kaplan University and Meritus Health were just a few of the local sponsors who helped to make the event such a success for both Goodwill and Fountain Head County Club, MANY thanks go out to them and all the other sponsors!
