Fountain Head C.C. is in Hagerstown, Md., on Fountain Head Road (some signs may also say Club Road; this is the same road), which is off of Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 11), right across from the Fountain Head Plaza. It is easily accessible from both Interstate 81 and Interstate 70. Driving Directions:
From North (i.e. Pennsylvania): Take I-81 South into Maryland. Take Exit 9, the Maugans Avenue. Turn left off the exit ramp toward Hagerstown. Go less than a mile and turn right on US-11/Pennsylvania Avenue. Turn left onto Fountain Head/Club Road at the second traffic light. You will then see the country club on your right side.
From East (i.e. Baltimore): Take I-70 West past Frederick . Take exit 32B, which is US-40 West, and turn right off the exit ramp (this will be your only choice). Stay on US-40 for about 3 miles and turn right at your third traffic light, which is Eastern Boulevard. Stay on that road for another couple miles until you reach a T-intersection with a cemetary across the street. This is US-11/Pennsylvania Avenue. Turn right, and then take a right onto Fountain Head/Club Road at the first traffic light. The country club will be on your right side.
From South and Southeast (i.e. Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.): Take I-270 West to I-70 West and follow the directions above. If coming from directly south, take I-81 North into Maryland. Take Exit 9 for Maugans Avenue and turn right toward Hagerstown when getting off the exit ramp. Turn right onto US-11/Pennsylvania Avenue. Turn left onto Fountain Head/Club Road at the second traffic light. You will then see the country club on your right side.
From East (i.e. Western Maryland and West Virginia panhandle): Take I-68 West or any other road that will take you to I-70 West. Take I-70 West until go get to Exit 26B, where you will merge onto I-81 North towards Hagerstown. Go 6 miles and take Exit 9 for Maugans Avenue and turn right toward Hagerstown when getting off the exit ramp. Turn right onto US-11/Pennsylvania Avenue. Turn left onto Fountain Head/Club Road at the second traffic light. You will then see the country club on your right side.

Dress Code for Golf
Fountain Head Country Club is a non-metal spike facility. The dress code applies to all golfers of all ages. The dress code pertains to all golfing areas at all times. This includes the golf course and practice areas. The code is as follows: All men must have a collared shirt that is in good taste and designed for golf (mock collars are permitted). All shirts (except “banded” shirts) must be tucked into slacks or shorts. No jeans, swimwear, cutoffs, bicycle shorts or tennis attire are permitted. Shorts shorter than 4 inches above the top of the knee are not permitted. All hats must be worn forward at all times.
Ladies may wear collarless shirts as long as they are conservatively tailored. String, halter tops, and tank tops are not allowed. Shorts shorter than 4 inches above the top of the knee are not permitted.
Our policy has been to encourage our members and guests, if in doubt, to err on the side of conservatism. Please check before arrival to avoid embarrassment to yourself or your guests, as the Golf Staff is asked to withhold playing privileges for members or their guests who are not properly attired.
